December 1929 and over in Twickenham there are meetings to help set
up a new publishing house to rival the established industry
behemoths.
Funded from
the other side of the Atlantic by Rockefeller money and angling to
attract the big names and make a big splash, you are invited you to
join us in the idyllic setting of a hotel on the banks of the River
Thames as people come to talk through the future and get contracts
signed, with the promise of a feast in the evening. There is a
sense of excitement in the air, with a young authoress, a society
darling, a book editor & an effete English aristocrat all there
to celebrate what's happening... until... oh no.
